What to expect

Begin through the Old Village, then reach Pitt Street Bridge for views toward Fort Sumter. Historic streets and the open waterfront set the scene for the ride.
Continue along Pitt Street toward Shem Creek Park, where waterfront boardwalks meet a working shrimp boat fleet. Keep an eye on the creek; dolphins sometimes visit, though sightings are never guaranteed.
Follow the bikeway across the Intracoastal Waterway with marsh views along the way. On Sullivan’s Island, the route continues toward Fort Moultrie and views across Charleston Harbor.
